How to set up a personal inspiration system for achieving your dreams

What is the one thing that you want to do with your life, more than anything else? What is the legacy you want to live? What is that dream which, when accomplished, will make you feel you found success in life?

It doesn't matter what your age or profession or location is. If you have a burning desire, you can achieve any dream you have in life. But how can we cultivate that burning desire? With the passage of time, our desire might have become blunted and suppressed. Or worse, it might seem impossible.

But with some conscious effort, we can rebuild your desire. We can motivate ourselves and surround us with messages that inspire us to go for our dream. Here, let us discuss seven ways to set up your own personal inspiration system. With the help of this system, you can get that fire burning in you again, and start working towards your dream.

1. Name your dream project

Give your dream project a challenging, inspiring and beautiful name. This will make the project seem suddenly more real. The name should symbolically represent your dream in your mind. If you want to go the extra mile and give the project a logo, by all means go ahead!

2. Visualize

Take a few moments every day when you wake up or just before you sleep just to visualize the success of your project. Think about how success would make you feel, what it would mean to you. Feel the happiness and pride of its successful completion.

3. Surround yourself with success messages

It is important to maintain a positive attitude. Surround yourself with success messages. Read motivational quotes and stories. Print out inspirational quotes and paste them where you can see them. Keep a booklet of inspirational quotes and stories with you, and read from them whenever you get time. Paste post-its in your stuff with success messages.

4. Project document

It is important to keep a project document for your dream. It could be a file or book or website. In this document, track the progress of your project regularly. Treat your project just like you would a work project. Enter deadlines and milestones to the document. Keep track of any financial expenses or gains due to the project in your document. Make it as professional as possible.

5. Learn from those who are doing it

Whatever your dream is, chances are high someone is already living your dream. Observe and learn from them. Find out how they got there. Research on all the success stories, and adopt any good practice you may find in them. Refer to these success stories whenever you need some extra inspiration.

6. Spread the word

Let the world know about your dream project. If you don't want to tell people you know, then announce it in the internet, anonymously if you will. Telling others have a magical effect of making you want to achieve it more, at least for the sake of not looking like a failure in the eyes of others.

7. Join hands with others working towards the dream

If you can find kindred spirits who are also working for the dream, join hands. If you can't find them in your locality, find them in the internet forums. Share your stories. This will keep the enthusiasm going for a long time. It will also help you gain information about better methods to go about achieving your dream.

Once you have this personal inspiration system in place, you are all set to go! Good luck!
