Sometimes, our lives get stuck in a rut. If not in all areas, at least in some. Our career, relationships, health, spirituality, personal growth - any of these may be at a stalemate. Sometimes, you may be in a rut and not even know it. Take a moment out exclusively for your personal growth, and think about this - is there any area in your life that is in a rut? Is there any area where you need to get a breath of fresh air? Identify the area, if any.

You have to be honest with yourself and take responsibility for the state you are in. No matter what we tell ourselves and others, we are primarily responsible for our own life, not family or friends or childhood experiences or bad economy or age. Once we assume responsibility, it immediately causes a shift in our mindset and makes us realize that we are capable of changing it. When we place the blame on other things, we are surrendering control to them and becoming sitting ducks. But as empowered individuals, it is important that we are able to take an honest look at our life and identify what areas are stagnant.
