Thank you for bearing with me as I work on my ebook and the articles! I have been working on a new article for a couple of days now, and it deals with Emotional Mastery. This subject has completely fascinated me as I research it, and I have spent a good many hours already working on this article.
This article shall be appearing in the website as soon as my ideas get organized, and it will also be covered in my ebook. Thank you for all who have signed up for the ebook, your mails are so encouraging! The book will reach you by 1st of July this year. If you haven't signed up yet and you are interested, you can sign up using the Workbook page, the link of which can be found on the menu.
Loyal readers of the site would also have noted a new page, "Life Coaching", added to the site. It contains all the information about my life coaching services, including a contact form.
Now, about my lucid dreaming adventures. :) Well, I cannot say that it has been entirely unsuccessful. I have attained lucidity for a few seconds to one minute at a stretch a few times now, but in all cases I either lost it soon afterwards or woke up :)
But it was still a great feeling while it lasted! I am definitely going to keep on trying this.
Cheers,
Gayathri.
Hi!
I have uploaded more articles in the articles page. I have recently seen that many people come to the blog page expecting to see the articles here. But the articles are located in the Articles page, which is accessible from the menu. Also, the activities are located in the Activities page.
Now, about my lucid dreaming experiment. A hectic worklife has been making me really sleepy of late. I hit the bed and next thing I know, the wake-up alarm is going off :) I am still working on remembering my dreams and such, and experienced lucid dreamers say it takes about a couple of months of trial before one can start to have lucid dreams.
So thats all for now! I am also brimming with ideas for my new book, and I have many plans which I hope to bring to fruitition soon :) So that's about it for now! :)
Cheers,
Gayathri.
Day 1 of my Lucid Dreaming experiment was not a success, but definite progress has been made.
Last night I went to bed with a Dream Journal next to me for easy access, and fell asleep after telling myself that I need to remember the dreams. I should have mentioned my lucid dreaming plans, but no point crying over spilt milk.
Anyway, I had 3 or 4 long dreams last night. And after each dream, I reached a state of semi-consciousness where I was telling myself, look here is the exact recall of your dream.Go write in the journal! But alas, the dream recall was so excellent that I was sure I would remember it in the morning. So I thought I would write them down in the morning and went back to sleep.
Morning when I woke up, I remembered my last dream with good detail, and the first dream only the portion just before I reached semi-consciousness at night, and in the case of second and third dreams, only the memory that I had a dream. :(
I wrote it all down in the dream journal anyway.
I had an afternoon nap today. I went to sleep telling myself strictly that I would have a Lucid Dream (possibly a WILD - Wake-Induced Lucid Dream). But what happened is this - I was in a state of semi-consciousness all through my sleep. I dreamt pretty much like day dreams.. I had full control over everything. But it was not lucidity because I went straight to this semi-conscious state after lying down. Now I cannot remember the details of the day dreams or whatever I had in this state. So I wasn't fully conscious either. I am not sure how to classify my nap experience. Perhaps more sleep research is in order ;) Wish me luck! :)
One more thing - I have chosen not to write an article about Lucid Dreaming because the promise I have given in the home page of this site clearly states everything would be first-hand experience. Guess I was wrong in guessimating yesterday that I would have a first-hand experience in Lucid Dreaming by now!
I have become fascinated with Lucid Dreaming of late. In fact, I have become so fascinated with Lucid Dreaming that I have decided to try it out.
Lucid Dreaming is the ability to realise, when having a dream, that we are indeed dreaming. This realisation is said to open up infinite possibilities for us. Once we master the art of lucid dreaming, we can control our dream surroundings and characters. We can literally experience the life of our dreams right within our - well, dreams. ;)
Anyway, now that I have decided to be a Lucid Dreamer, I need to follow the steps to become one. As a first step, I need to improve my dream recall so I will know when I wake up if I indeed had a lucid dream. :)
Well my hubby is already daily pestered with detailed stories of my dreams as I can recall my dreams with reasonable detail almost every time; sometimes more than one dream a night. I have always been able to do this, right from school days - my school friends can vouch for lots of lunch breaks when I described them the details of my latest dream :)
Anyway, the point is, I shall be keeping a dream journal from now own, and record every dream I can recall, however fragmented it may be :)
Also, tomorrow I shall be uploading an article about Lucid Dreaming - what it is, why you would want to do that, and also how to go about it if you decide that you want to have it too :)
So watch the Activities page tomorrow for my Lucid Dreaming article link! :)
Cheers,
Gayathri.
